It all happened as he was cleaning the social studies room for detention. He had been on the ground cleaning when he started noticing scribbles of writing everywhere. At first he was ignoring them but then, they were all over the classroom so he read one and this is what he read:
Most Want to be Like
I want to be like Max. He is my role model. If he saw me writing on the walls, he would congratulate me. I hope I could be as popular as him one day. He is so brave. He is admired my everyone. He even has a girlfriend! (Christina) (Max wiped this off immediately) I wish I could be him one day.
Even though this scribble had gotten an F (an F on the floor! Mrs.Roxwell is strict), Max was frustrated. How had this happened? How had he, Max, become the most wanted kid in school? Max could not let this happen. He could not let people find out about his secrets. What he needed right now is a “how to become unpopular for dummies” book.
Max could not fill in his pieces. He needed some answers. He needed investigation.
Max ran to the telephone. When he picked it up he heard his brother talking to his girlfriend. Those two could talk for hours. His family saved money by getting unlimited calling.
Even though the phone was in use and Max didn’t have a cellphone, he wasn’t about to give up easily. See, Max had gotten part of himself unlocked today. After detention, Max felt more like he new his identity. Max felt new.
Anyway, Max knew he was gifted with special, abnormal abilities. But after today, he realized some of his normal abilities. One of these was being a genius. He was a, in simple terms, a nerd.
So what Max did was he went down to his recycle bin, got some stuff, and went to his room. He was going to make himself a cellphone.
Max instinctively started putting together the recycle, creating a small device. The device was as complicated as the amount of technology needed to make, program, and launch a shuttle.
After making the cellphone, he plugged in his miraculous device into his computer to program it. He loaded up his programing software. After scanning the software he found that his software didn’t support his device. His brain was a super-computer immediately, searching for possibilities. He learned that his only choice was to make a $100 worth software.
After running a few kinks he hacked into the website that made softwares and turned the price to $0. Next, he scrambled his area code so he couldn’t be traced. Anyone who wanted to make a software could make it for free right now.
He ran his ideas onto his software developer. His fingers vibrated as he clicked each key. The clicks sounded like teeth chattering.
He finished his software in five minutes. He posted it on his website for anyone to use. Then, he downloaded the file. He replugged in his cellphone and opened his software. The software ran as smooth as the top of a table. He designed his cellphone to call, pick up signal anywhere, and let it be programed later for other stuff. Right now he needed to make a call. No time to admire his creation. Though, it was an amazing creation with no cost. And... No, you have to call!
