Chapter One
“Period 3. Here we are.”
“Home of the invisible.”
“The creepy room.”
“The domain of the cane woman.”
“The oldest room in the school.”
“Yeah.”
“Well, let’s get started.”
Max, Jake, Cindy, and Christina were good friends. Actually, they were great friends. If you just met them for the first time you’d not just think they’re related, you’d guarantee it. But, you’d be wrong. People that already know them think they are related.
These four friends were always there for each other. They had lived next door to each other since preschool. Nothing could make these friends have a fight and split.
The only thing was, these students liked to have everything their way. That meant if they didn’t like something, they got rid of it. They had gotten into the year book in the most recognized section. But this was nothing to be proud of for them. The category they were in was known as the teacher most unwanted. These innocent looking children had made every teacher they disliked run out of the school and up the flagpole. The firefighters had to come to take the teachers down. The last math teacher was still up there.
Every teacher was afraid of them. They all tried to keep the children happy by bringing them pizza in class. Giving them no homework. Every teacher except Mrs. Roxwell, the 3rd period teacher, the social studies teacher.
Mrs. Roxwell wasn’t like all the other teachers. She had been there since the school had begun. Some thought she’d been there before the school had begun. But what everyone agreed is that you’d better not mess around with Mrs.Roxwell. The last people to chew gum in class had had “the dealing with” and changed into a whole new personality.
But as Max, Jake, Cindy, and Christina were, they went ahead to do their next scheme. Mrs. Roxwell never seemed to mind them. They had done pranks many times and Mrs. Roxwell didn’t mind.
“Mrs. Roxwell is soooo creepy,” mentioned Cindy showing only the slightest hint of frighteness. “I mean, did you see how she commands other children away to be dealt with.”
“Those lot of scared dummies don’t even put up a fight,” humphed Jake staring at his classmates.
“It’s like they’re in a trance,” complained Christina as she acted like the students. “I mean ‘Yes Mrs. Roxwell. I am sorry about my misdoings. I will follow.’ They’re a team of robots.”
“Mrs. Roxwell is a devious fox. She probably got the facts from living so long. That old hag is older than George Washington. No, George Washington’s grandpa,” Max pointed out as he pointed to the picture of George Washington.
“You know, it’s kind of funny though, how she appears when you least expect her, without a sound,” commented Cindy.
“That’s right. I am a shadow in the mist, appearing out of the foggy night, coming right when your guard is the lowest.”
“NOOOO!!” exclaimed Jake.
“So I’ll be seeing you all at detention after school. Oh, and the old hag won’t feel sleepy,” said Mrs. Roxwell.
“How much did you hear?” commanded Max.
“I heard everything that I need to hear to give you a legal detention,” replied Mrs. Roxwell with a smirk on her face.
As Mrs. Roxwell turned to leave to the front of the class, Jake did one last remark.
“Your tongue belongs in your mouth Jake,” scolded Mrs. Roxwell without looking back the slightest bit.
“I guess detention it is,” guessed Cindy.
