In a little while after the failure of Apple, Jobs hired some former employees to work at his new company called NeXT. Late in 1988, the first NeXT computer was introduced to the world. This new product was user friendly and had a fast processing speed. It also had some of the best graphics and an awesome sound system. Despite the warm reception, however, this new device never caught on. It was too costly, played a black and white screen, and could not be linked to other computers or run common software.
